SeisUP has a powerful set of tools to perform Amplitude Variation with Offset (AVO) analysis. Use the extensive set of processing tools that preserve amplitude with offset prior to AVO analysis. AVO analysis tools include:
Angle Extraction (XAVA) performs angle-range partial stacks of the common-midpoint gathers to reduce noise prior to performing AVO analysis.
Amplitude Versus Offset Attributes Stack (AVOA) performs Amplitude-versus-Offset analysis for P-waves by extracting AVO attribute stacks. Attribute stacks include: P-Wave (intercept), Gradient (slope), Restricted Gradient, Pseudo Poisson's Ratio, Pseudo S-Wave, Potential Hydrocarbon, Restricted P-Wave, Fluid Factor.
AVO Cross-plotting (AVOCROSS) performs cross-plotting of two different AVO attribute traces. The output is a stack trace of the cross-plotted values. AVOCROSS can cross-plot attributes from the AVOA module or the first and last trace in a CMP gather. An option is to produce a CGM plot of the cross-plotted values within a given window of time. A popular cross-plot is the fluid factor attribute computed using the P-wave (intercept) as the vertical attribute and the gradient (slope) as the horizontal attribute. The fluid factor should show a positive anomaly at the top of a gas sand and a negative anomaly at the bottom of a gas sand where brine is encountered.
